Valiora Dose Check: What a Single Capsule Can Physically Hold
When a seller will not publish its doses, most reviews shrug and move on. There is one check left, and it is more decisive than people expect, because physics does not require anybody’s permission.
Three named ingredients need 1,950–3,800 mg between them at researched doses. A large capsule holds roughly 800 mg.
Capsule sizes are standardised
This is the part that makes the check possible. Capsule shells come in standard sizes with known volumes, and while the weight they hold varies with powder density, the range is well characterised.
A size-0 capsule — the most common size for a supplement of this type — holds roughly 400–800 mg of powder depending on density. A size-00 holds more, perhaps 600–1,100 mg, but is noticeably larger and harder to swallow, which is why once-daily consumer products rarely use it.
We will be generous throughout and assume 800 mg. That works in the seller’s favour, and the conclusion holds anyway.
The researched doses
Berberine HCl: 900–1,500 mg daily, split across two or three servings. The splitting is not optional in the trials — berberine has poor oral bioavailability and causes gastrointestinal upset in a single large dose.
Green tea extract: roughly 300–800 mg of extract daily, usually standardised to an EGCG percentage.
Apple cider vinegar: roughly 750–1,500 mg equivalent, though this is the least precise figure because the trials used liquid vinegar with meals rather than a powder.
Total: 1,950–3,800 mg against a capsule holding 800.

What follows from that
At the very best case — every ingredient at the low end of its range, a generous 800 mg capsule — the formula would need to deliver 1,950 mg in a container that holds 800. That is roughly 40% of the minimum.
At the more realistic case it is considerably worse. And berberine alone, at the bottom of its researched range, exceeds the entire capsule before the other two ingredients get any space at all.
So one of three things is true: the formula prioritises berberine and under-doses the others severely; it splits the space evenly and under-doses all three; or it uses a larger capsule than we assumed and is still well short. There is no fourth option.
What this is not
It is not an accusation. Nothing here suggests the seller is misrepresenting anything — notably, the page never claims “clinical doses” or attacks competitors for under-dosing, which several rivals in this category do while committing the same arithmetic sin.
It is a structural observation about once-daily three-ingredient blends generally. Any product in that shape faces the same ceiling. The reason it matters here is that the seller has published nothing that would let a buyer see where the compromise was made.
The one question worth asking
Email and ask for the milligram amount of each of the three actives. That is it. Whatever the answer, it tells you more than every other sentence on the sales page combined — and if the amounts are generous, the seller has every commercial reason to say so.

What we would do
Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering, get a baseline fasting glucose and lipid panel so you have something to compare against, and choose the three-bottle package rather than the six — it covers the ninety days the ingredient trials actually used without leaving you holding three unopened bottles months after the refund window has closed. Diarise day 50 on the day you order.
How to verify any of this
Every figure above comes from a source you can check yourself: the official order page, the published return terms, the manufacturer’s own artwork, or peer-reviewed literature. Where an amount is not disclosed by the manufacturer, we say so rather than estimating it. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will re-check it and re-date the page.
Frequently asked
A size-0 capsule holds roughly 400–800 mg of powder depending on density; a size-00 holds more but is harder to swallow.
Roughly 1,950–3,800 mg combined at researched doses, with berberine alone needing 900–1,500 mg.
It proves something must be, since the combined researched doses exceed the format’s capacity. It cannot tell you which ingredient, which is what a published panel would show.
Disclaimer. This formula contains berberine, which is contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding and newborns because it displaces bilirubin from albumin. Berberine also inhibits CYP450 enzymes, which raises the blood levels of many prescription medicines rather than lowering them, and it lowers blood glucose in its own right.
